Our Classroom Behavior Expectations

The children created the following list of rules.  Each child had input, and each child

Promised to follow these rules as a member of our class:

 

1.               Respect each other.

2.               Raise your hand.

3.               Be polite and use your manners

4.               Try your best

5.               Be a good listener

6.               Use team work

 

When these rules are not followed, the following consequences will occur in the order they are listed.  It will be up to the teacher’s discretion as to the severity and frequency of the behavior and when to advance to the next step.

 

                   Step 1:        Verbal Warning

Step 2:        Time Out (child returns to seat or is asked to be away from the group till he/she feels they can get control.)

Step 3:     Detention/Miss a recess (This includes a slip home, which must be signed by an adult and returned to school the next school day.)

Step 4:      Sent to the Office/Phone Call Home
