Text Box: It is important to understand the tradition behind the band concerts. Every student’s participation in these concerts is crucial! Concerts generally last between an hour and an hour and thirty minutes, regardless of how many grade levels are performing. Admission is free!

POPS Concert

Sunday, February 20th – 2:00 pm, High School Auditorium

The POPS Concert features all band students in grades 5^th – 12^th. This is the 5^th graders first official concert, the only event before this is the Parent Night on November 4th. At the POPS Concert, students perform several “popular music” selections. At these concerts, you are bound to hear music from movies, famous songs that have been arranged for band, and more.

Fifth Grade Band/Orchestra Concert

Tuesday, May 24^th – 6:30 pm, High School Auditorium

This combined 5^th grade band/orchestra concert is a wonderful showcase of the progress students have made since starting their instruments earlier in the year. Students have the opportunity to perform solos, and several combined pieces are performed. Student attendance at this concert is particularly crucial!!

Each school also hosts an

Annual Arts Event.

Students only participate at their school’s event:

Barrie: Thursday, March 17 (Art & Learning Fair)

Luther: Tuesday, April 19 (Arts Festival)

Purdy: Tuesday, April 26 (Arts Festival)

Rockwell: May - date to be determined (Talent Show)
